The Well Encounter

“Ask Him for A Drink” …St. John 4:13-15

The woman at the well is conversing with Jesus and he asked her to draw him a drink. She continues with asking him are you greater than our forefathers (she’s trying to figure out who Jesus was)?

I love how Jesus responded if you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked him, and he would have given you living water.

“The Living Water” …The living water is a metaphor that is used to depict the spiritual sustenance and salvation that Jesus Christ offers. It represents renewal and nourishment.

I want to tell you today that Jesus is the source of our strength and the strength of our lives.  This morning will you ask him for a drink.

Will you ask him to be constant source in your life, when the cares of life are raging, he’s peace in the mist of it all.

When we don’t know which way to turn. He says in his word in Psalm 46:10 He says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”

He’s saying let me be God, let me do this thing for you. rest in the confidence of me, be settled.

Spiritual Definition: A well is a place that has a reservoir of water supply. This place is constant in its source. The Lord says to us today let me be that one constant in your life. Will you ask him today to give me a drink. May I draw from you today and forever more. I love how we can go back and keep drawing and drinking as we see fit because we know who is and there is a relationship. He never tires of our ASK of HIM!

Prayer: Father today we thank you for this day. Today we ask you for a drink, a drink from the living water. The one that preserves and keeps the one that refreshes and renews us. Our God, our Savior. Thank you for salvation. Open the eyes and hearts of your people. TODAY I choose you! We come into covenant with you. The eternal wise God. The righteous God. Creator of heaven and earth. As we come before this morning, we thank you that we will be still and see the salvation of the Lord, we will watch you turn it around, we will watch you change it, we will watch you confuse the enemy on our behalf, we will watch you as we are overcomers through Christ Jesus. Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, to the only wise God our Savior, be glory and majesty, dominion and power both now and ever. Amen. Jude 1-24-25KJV.   It’s settled, it’s finished and we accept you and your will for our lives. Today we declare, we trust you forever and ever. Bless your people and meet every need according to your riches in glory.  Heal bodies, restore lives and make your people whole and well in all areas of their lives. We are grateful that you hear us when we call. Thank you for helping us today, for loving us today. Amen.🙏🏽
