My Help Comes from the Lord!

Often in the times of trouble, I found myself feeling along and afraid. I love God and his word. He would remind me that he was always with me. There will be days that we have to trust God and lean into him, and simply obey him.  Trusting God takes faith when things are contrary to what we are believing God for. I was reminded in the scripture text according to  Luke 5. As the people pressed upon him by the lake of Gennesaret. There were two ships and the Lord entered into the one of which was Simon’s and he said until Simon launch out into the deep and let down your nets for a draught. Simon in his own intellect answered Him saying, Master we have toiled all night and have taken nothing; nevertheless, at thy word I will let down the net.

The “nevertheless attitude” brought a great reward of catch so much so that the nets broke. Why, because he was willing to obey! Obedience to God produces supernatural manifestation.

God is wants us to rely solely on his abilities and his strength and mainly his word/s.  But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. Matthew 4:4. I would rather obey God than man. Act 5:29 Emphasized. So, trusting God is not about what we know or think we know. As God gives us the instructions; today I chose to incline my ear to hear him and move in rhythm with Holy Spirit’s leading. Knowing my help comes from the Lord is enough for me to launch out into the deep.  When I am weary and worn, I take solace in his word and his love.

Today affirmation: I'm launching!

Psalm 121

I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.

My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.

He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber.

Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.

The Lord is thy keeper: the Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand.

The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night.

The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul.

The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.
