Confidence; Don't Cast It Away!

Hebrews 10:35-36 KJV

1. Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward.

2. For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.

Today God wants to speak to us regarding our Confidence…

What is confidence? It’s Trust, belief, faith... it’s our conviction…

Biblical confidence focuses on God’s mercy, his love, and his Grace.

📍Confidence in God means I can trust Him in all situations!!!

We are reminded in this passage of scripture to not cast away (throw away) our confidence in times of persecution, in adversity, in times of testing or trials!!! No matter what we may be facing... there’s ALWAYS hope. It’s in God that’s activated by our faith. Ephesians 3:20

In Hebrew 10:36: This scripture reminds us to persevere and to remain resilient.

📍How do we build our confidence in God?

1. By being in a relationship with him. We gain a deeper insight of who God is.

2. By seeking him and studying his word. This speaks to the character and attributes of God.

3. Through our experiences and encounters with him, it’s in these times, God reveals himself to us in many different ways.

So, then our confidence should be in God and not man… Psalm 118:8

It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man.

Finally, there is a reward to those that hold to their confidence and not throw it away... the reward of the promise…... which is 🔑life eternal. Not only in heaven but here on earth according to Hebrews 11:6 ESV. And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.

So, today I say keep pressing towards the mark and don’t throw your confidence away for you will have great recompense of reward.
